Superbowl Without Wings is Sacrilege: Here Are Our Top Picks

Just in time for Super Bowl Sunday, we present our top 5 favorite chicken wing recipes. This is an auspicious list to make, because as the judge I get to eat each of them. Twice. And once more on Sunday.

The Superbowl only comes once a year. Choose wisely, my friends…

It is butter and garlic on a chicken wing. Really, does more need to be said? Recipe found here.

2. Crockpot Sriracha Honey Chicken Wings

The only things better than chicken wings is easy chicken wings. These can be tossed in slow cooker and then finished under the broiler for a few minutes to get that nice caramelized glaze. Recipe here.

3. Salt and Pepper Chicken Wings

I know, I know, you are saying, “But Matt! There’s no sauce for dipping!” I assure you, life will work out. These are so moist and tasty, with bursts of flavor from the sesame oil, green onions, and garlic, you won’t need a sauce. Recipe here.

4. Buttermilk Fried Chicken Wings

No list would be complete without a fried chicken recipe. And this one gets all the flavor in the coating, with that wonderful tang of buttermilk. For this recipe to be perfect, have a side of a good quality, local honey. Drizzle the honey on the wings and write back to thank me. Recipe here.

5. Crispy Baked Buffalo Wings

No list is complete without a Buffalo Wings recipe. This one is fantastic because you don’t have to break out the fryer. They crisp up in the oven. Recipe here.

Choose anyone of these and you’re set. Or you can go balls to the wall and make all five. We won’t judge…
